Poppy MacKenzie - Head Girl - Welcome
Hi, my name is Poppy, and I have recently been allocated the role of Head Girl at Dysons. I am absolutely overjoyed to have this position in the school I truly love so much- it is the optimum chance for me to give back and have input into the school community. In my opinion that is the best thing about Dyson Perrins- the community atmosphere. We are all very much in this together; the teachers are so supporting with every aspect of school. From exam stress, to everyday mental health struggles- it is all important, and every individual is valued and rewarded accordingly. There is a great sense of comradery. Also, as a year 7, Dysons was a chance for me to branch out; to try new subjects and make new friends that I would eventually grow to enjoy and love so much. Dysons has most definitely helped me grow into the person I am today, and looking back, it has allowed me to achieve so much. For example, I have been a part of many school productions, and delivered several speeches in front of crowds of people; this is something I truly would have never anticipated, being quite a shy and quiet person when I first joined. Dysons has equipped me with so many life skills that are already giving me a huge advantage as I am currently applying to sixth forms to prepare for when I leave. I will definitely be very sad to leave Dyson Perrins however I will look back fondly at the amazing memories I have made here.
